Working as a real estate agent comes with a lot of perks for you. You’ll be showing different houses, working with different clients, and generally doing something different every single day. If you like a bit of adventure with your work, then this is the job for you! Plus, you don’t need to have a college degree to get your real estate license.
But how do you get your license then? If you don’t need a college degree, then what do you need to do to prove your knowledge? Well, first you need to understand the requirements in your state to become a realtor, and then take a pre-licensing course. This course will teach you everything you need to know, and you will see how many hours you will need to have in the class by the state requirements.
Once the class is done, you will need to register for the licensing exam. The computerized and multiple-choice test is made up of two parts. The first part deals with real estate principles on a natural scale and the second focuses on real estate laws in your state. If you pass both sections, you pass the exam. If you fail one, then you will need to retake the exam.
After the exam is completed, you will be mailed your real estate license certificate in the mail and you will eventually receive your license the same way. After you have your license, you can become a realtor if you so choose, which will only add to your resume. Either way, you can now find real estate jobs in Fort Lauderdale or anywhere else in your state and can start buying and selling houses.
It’s a long process, but a very rewarding one at the end of the day, and certainly something to look into.
